in this edition we are hearing from a favorite artist (released by a favorite label) that we somehow haven’t heard on the program in many, many years: jacob kirkegaard‘s latest, snowblind, is out now on the helen scarsdale agency. we also continue exploring the work of makhun, a uk-based filipino sound artist; we encountered her work for the first time only this last autumn, and have been enjoying it greatly. marc namblard recently sent us his latest collection of stunning recordings from french guiana, made with members of the wayãpi community on the oyapock river, and one of flaming pines‘ recent releases is a location recording and spoken word collaboration between iris colomb and daryl worthington, recorded during a canceled event in france. we also traveled between australia, poland, italy and germany with our selection of recent listener-chosen favorites from the aporee maps, and returned to france for an unreleased electroacoustic composition by valentin sismann, after beginning our journey with a framework introduction recorded for us in japan by regular contributor thomas martin nutt.
