the hectic summer months have begun at framework HQ – local projects, travels, gardening work, and the endless attempt to construct proper window screens (why are all the window screens in estonia, the land of mosquitoes, disposable garbage?), all culminating in the need for some soothing sounds. we think this collection of artists have provided the elixir – insects, frogs and quiet tones from pablo diserens; heavily reworked source materials from france jobin, yamil rezc and marc behrens (what better way to exorcise the demon of airplanes ruining your recordings than to embrace them? not literally, of course); a quirky collection of tunes and sounds from furchick; and of course a batch of listener-chosen favorites from the aporee soundmaps. all begun with a summery canadian intro by james bailey.
