this is our last regular edition for 2017; we’ve got one more :afield edition, produced by john barber, coming up next week, and then we’ll be on winter break until edition #624 premieres on january 14th.
with this edition we got right to the heart of our latest issue of framework:seasonal, #9, winter 2017. framework:seasonal is our ongoing series of fund-raising releases, featuring new and exclusive works by members of the field-recording community. it’s quite tricky to convince people to financially support a radio show – after all, radio is free, isn’t it? well, it’s free to hear, but it’s not free to make, and we absolutely rely on our listeners to be able to continue making the program. so we publish this series of handmade releases to give you something concrete to hold in your hands, a physical object that can be our THANK YOU for helping us keep the program afloat. so PLEASE consider making a contribution towards our 2018 season, and get a nifty disc full of amazing sounds in the process. look at the donations bar to the right, make a one-time donation of 20€ or more, or sign up to make a regular monthly contribution of 5€ or more, and your copy of framework:seasonal issue #9, winter 2017 will be sent out to you on the day of release, the winter solstice, december 21st.
