I struggle within capitalism, surrounded by the accumulation of objects, microphones, recorders, yet always holding onto the promise I make to myself to move beyond them, to keep them secondary to the environment I am trying to capture.
These objects are capitalist products, consumable items, but they also offer the possibility of encounters with places where I can truly listen.
