here are some notes from the release:
RFTR examines the dissenting voices of activism in America following the re-election of George W. Bush in November 2004 and comprises field recordings made at various peace marches and anti-war rallies in San Diego between 2004 and 2005.
The phonographs were recorded on a portable DAT machine. The piece was mixed and recorded in real time using three CD players and a digital effects unit without any overdubs or edits. The 56 minute piece was divided into five sections in accordance with this platform’s guidelines.
