this week we conclude for this year our look back at some classic editions of framework:afield, never before online and not heard since their initial broadcasts almost 20 years ago. this week, an edition produced by japanese native longtime u.s. resident musician, marcos fernandes. titled ready for the revolution, it originally aired on september 6th, 2006. for more of his work, see https://marcosfernandes.com.

here are some notes from the release:
RFTR examines the dissenting voices of activism in America following the re-election of George W. Bush in November 2004 and comprises field recordings made at various peace marches and anti-war rallies in San Diego between 2004 and 2005.
The phonographs were recorded on a portable DAT machine. The piece was mixed and recorded in real time using three CD players and a digital effects unit without any overdubs or edits. The 56 minute piece was divided into five sections in accordance with this platform’s guidelines.
