things have been a bit topsy-turvy over on our patreon page of late – we lost a handful of patrons before gaining one or two new ones. but the fact is still that there’s been no movement in our progress in well over a year; we’ve been stuck at 60% of our funding goal since september, 2022. we try not to harp on about it too much, but still: if you do enjoy the program, and you do wish to see it able to continue well into the future (as we do), please consider making a little contribution, even if it’s as little as 1€ per month. if every listener did that, we’d make 100% in no time. can you help? our patreon page is here.
this edition features both new names (to us) and old favorites: christopher grey (aka standard grey), who contributed recently to our framework:seasonal series (see issue #15 on our bandcamp page) provided the intro, recorded in a typhoon at his home in japan; nula.cc‘s release collects improvised session from 2022’s radio art zone on-air festival; melissa pons and nils mosh offer a vinyl split-release themed on wolf recordings; lokto offers up cellphone collages from their native hong kong; carrie decunzo combines field recordings, abstracted sounds and voice for no rent records; and ian wellman makes his latest release on the legendary ash international. we also heard sounds from the aporee soundmaps: one of several recent amazing uploads by OR poiesis, who has been experimenting with waterfall recording in slovenia, belated new year’s celebrations in lisbon by carlos santos, german sheep bells by matthias feuersenger, and our first ever recording from paraguay by fernando bustto.
