this week’s edition features recent sounds byÂ richard garet,Â rinus van alebeek, andÂ john wynne, and old track fromÂ toy.bizarre, recently released byÂ kokeshidisk, a raw field recording fromÂ tom hallÂ in australia, and an intro recorded for us in the u.s. byÂ steve burnett.Â all this was strung together with several extracts (or rather, the entire piece, but divided into several pieces) of a live recording from this year’s ‘das kleine field recording festival‘ byÂ yehlin lee, otherwise known asTSU, or theÂ taipei sound unit.Â lee has been in europe for awhile, and i’ve run into his on a few different occasions in a few different countries, and had the pleasure of hearing this live performance at rinus’ (also featured in this show – six degrees of what?) festival, where i was also performing, this past august – there are some beautiful and very evocative recordings in this mix, all made in taiwan, and the piece is available for free download from lee’s site:http://rio.recorderz.com.
