welcome back to new framework programming! we’ve returned from our annual summer holidays in full stride, with a long list of longform single-track works, one piece per artist, that have all been waiting patiently for airwaves for some time: great compositions from longtime regular contributors keith de mendonca and luÃs antero, returning contributors kim walker, cedric anglaret (with his duo danse de l’ours), john barber and yiorgis sakellariou, and newcomers to our  airwaves (but many of them long-time supporters and listeners) alvaro ortiz, flavien gillié, james torrance and virgilio oliveira. all this begun with an intro from another longtime listener, supporter, contributor (and webmaster!) joe stevens. we think this is a lovely, joyous active mix with which to usher in our fall season…
in honor of which, we have an announcement to make! we are now ready to release details on our next edition of framework:seasonal, our regular series of framework fundraising releases. framework:seasonal issue #3, autumn2012, is a very special edition, a longform single-take recording, released on extra-high resolution audio DVD (not to be confused with the dead DVD-audio format, which required special equipment – this disc will play on any standard dvd player or computer). this 2.5 hour work, entitled sunrise in the sukau rainforest, has been donated in support of framework radio by longtime supporter and contrbutor chris watson, whose work i’m sure you are all familiar with. this edition of framework:seasonal will beginning shipping, of course, on the first day of autumn, september 22nd, and will be available only directly from us in exchange for your donation of 20€ or more. we will begin taking preorders as of now – just visit the framework website, make a donation, and let us know where you’d like us to send the release once it becomes available. we’re very excited about this edition, hopefully you will be too. of course, the previous editions of framework:seasonal are also still available, and we even have one or two copies of 2009’s framework250 4cd release available – if you’d like to pick up any or all of these just let us know!
again, we are always looking for material for the show, whether raw field-recordings, field-recording based composition, or introduction submissions. we are also now accepting proposals for full editions of our guest curated framework:afield series. send proposals or material, released or not, on any format, to the address at the bottom of this mail. if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch!
